After hearing about all the wonderful buzz on this Clint Eastwood's saga about the afterlife I was excited and intrigued to see "Hereafter". I must say I was pretty disappointed. Its not his best in anyway but I am surprised and respect the fact of how well Eastwood can direct any genre with such ease. Unfortunately, this film didn't satisfy in any way. It is a good looking film and there are some good performances by the young boys in the movie and new comer to American cinema Cecile De France. Matt Damon gives a subtle and believable performance as a psychic trying to escape his past. But The best parts are the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes, everything in the middle is pretty bleak and forgettable. Skip the theater, rent it!
